What is Phonecam?

PhoneCam is the first lightweight, hands-free, and affordable body camera designed specifically for professionals. It provides a complete solution for personal safety and live support for your team. This all-in-one solution includes a body camera, a smartphone app, and a web app to create a Control Room.

PhoneCam outperforms existing solutions by being cost-effective, compact, user-friendly, and capable of live streaming.

Who Can Benefit from PhoneCam?

Bodycams have been shown to de-escalate conflicts and capture vital evidenceβ€”but until now, they were primarily used by law enforcement.

Now, professional security services and field-based remote support roles can equip their teams with body cameras to enhance safety and effectiveness.

In the near future, PhoneCam will also be available for consumers, for everyone who wants added protection or handsfree remote support.

Is my data secure with PhoneCam?

PhoneCam adheres to the strictest data security. We cannot access your stored videos, and data is stored on locally on US and EU servers or on your own secure server.

The Control Room operator monitors live video streams. In the event of an incident, the operator can initiate recording. All recordings are securely stored with encryption and are only available for streamingβ€”they cannot be downloaded to a personal computer or phone.

How does PhoneCam handle my privacy?

PhoneCam only records when activated by your Control Room operator. We adhere to the highest standards of data security. Your stored videos are fully private, and we cannot access them. Data is stored either locally on secure servers in the US and EU, or on your own private server.

Why is PhoneCam so affordable?

We leverage the smartphone's advanced features to keep PhoneCam smart, compact, and affordable. By using the phone's battery, we eliminate the need for bulky, heavy batteries in the body camera itself. Additionally, we've optimized the camera to be energy-efficient while enabling live streaming with two-way audio.

What if the camera malfunctions or encounters technical problems?

Our PhoneCam products come with a one year warranty when used under normal conditions. If you encounter any technical issues with our software or body cameras, please send us an Email for support.

What happens if I don't have a data connection?

If your Wi-Fi or 4G/5G connection is lost. Real-time video and location data will no longer be available; the map will retain your last known location. Additionally, the video will be recorded on your phone, then sent to the control room once the connection is restored.

Is PhoneCam waterproof?

PhoneCam has a IP65 waterproof protection. Making it withstand heavy rains and dust ingress.

IP65 means that a product or fixture is dust-tight and protected against water jets. This means it is resistant to dust and water, but not to immersion in water. It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

Do I need a subscription to use PhoneCam?

PhoneCam includes a subscription for access to the PhoneCam app, the Web Control Room app, and our product services.
